Kitchen worktop installation in Coventry for laminate, wood and stone-effect worktops. We measure, cut and fit them, including the sink and hob cut-outs, with a free quote first.
Laminate is affordable, easy to clean and comes in many finishes. Solid wood looks warm but needs oiling now and then. Quartz and other stone worktops are hard-wearing and resist heat well, but they're heavy and are usually made to measure by the supplier.
Where two worktops meet at a corner, the joint must be tight and sealed, or water gets in and the edges swell. Cut-outs for the sink and hob are measured carefully and sealed underneath for the same reason, so the worktop stays sound for years.
Worktops need a small overhang at the front so drips fall clear of the doors. Breakfast bars need a deeper overhang so there's room for your knees, and sometimes extra support underneath. We set the heights and overhangs before fixing anything down.
We measure the units, walls and any corners, and check the units are level and strong enough to take the new worktop. You get a free quote that covers removing the old worktop, cutting and fitting the new one and reconnecting the sink.
On the day, we disconnect the sink, remove the old worktop and fit the new one, with the joints cut and sealed and the sink and hob cut-outs made to size. Then we refit the sink, reconnect the water, seal along the wall and check for leaks.
Tell us about the leak, fault or project. We aim to respond the same day, and there's no call-out charge.
We look at the job in person and give you a free, no-obligation quote before any work starts.
We finish the job, test everything we have fitted and certify the work before we hand it back to you.
It depends on the material, the length of worktop, the number of joints and cut-outs, and whether the old worktop needs removing. Laminate costs less to fit than solid wood. We measure up and give you a free quote before any work goes ahead.
Yes. Solid wood worktops need sealing with oil before and after fitting, especially around the sink, to stop water soaking in. They also need a small gap at the wall to allow for movement. We'll explain how to look after the wood so it lasts.
Good-quality laminate resists scratches and stains well for everyday use and is easy to replace. Quartz is very hard-wearing but costs more. Wood is tough but marks more easily and needs oiling. We'll talk through which suits how you use your kitchen.
Laminate worktops swell when water gets into the cut edges. We seal every joint, cut-out and end with the right sealant before fitting, and make the joints tight and accurate. Wiping up standing water near the joints helps them stay in good condition for longer.
