Kitchen tiling in Coventry for walls, splashback areas and floors. We prepare the surface, set out the tiles neatly around sockets and worktops, and quote for free.
The way tiles are set out decides how neat the finish looks. We plan where the cuts fall, so you don't end up with thin slivers by the worktop or under the wall units, and so sockets and switches sit neatly within the pattern.
Tiles behind a hob need to cope with heat and grease. Glazed ceramic and porcelain are easy to wipe and handle heat well. Grout lines collect grease, so larger tiles or a darker grout make cleaning easier in this part of the kitchen.
Floor tiles must cope with spills, dropped pans and lots of footsteps. Porcelain is hard-wearing and low maintenance. On timber floors, we fit a backer board first so movement doesn't crack the tiles, and we leave proper movement gaps at the edges.
We measure the area to be tiled, check the walls or floor are sound and flat, and talk through tile sizes and colours. You get a free quote covering removal of any old tiles, preparation and laying the new ones.
We take sockets and switch plates off so tiles can run behind them, then set out and fix the tiles. After the adhesive sets, we grout, clean the surface, refit the sockets and seal along the worktop with silicone.

Yes. We tile kitchen walls, splashback areas and floors. Floors need a solid, flat base, so we check the subfloor first and fit backer boards or level it if needed. If you're having new units fitted, we'll advise whether to tile under them or up to them.
Yes. We switch off the power, take the socket fronts off and cut the tiles to fit around the back boxes, then refit the sockets on top. This gives a much neater finish than cutting tiles around the outside of the socket plate.
Glazed ceramic or porcelain tiles with a smooth surface are the easiest to wipe down. Larger tiles mean fewer grout lines for grease to collect in. On walls, gloss finishes show splashes less than matt ones, while floors need a tile with some grip.
It depends on the area and the size of the tiles. A small splashback area can be done quickly, while a fully tiled wall with lots of cuts takes longer. The adhesive and grout also need time to set. We'll give you a timescale with your free quote.
