Bathroom tiling in Coventry for walls, floors and shower areas. We prepare the surface properly, waterproof wet areas and lay the tiles neatly, with a free quote before we start.
Tiles are only as good as what's behind them. Loose plaster, old tiles or a floor that flexes will crack new tiles and grout. We strip back, board or level where needed, so the surface is flat, solid and ready to tile.
Grout and tiles aren't waterproof on their own. Around showers and baths, we use a waterproof backing board or a tanking system under the tiles, so water can't soak into the wall or floor and cause damp or rot behind the finish.
Large-format tiles mean fewer grout lines and a cleaner look, but they need a very flat surface. Porcelain is hard-wearing and suits floors, while natural stone needs sealing. A slightly darker grout hides marks on floors. We'll help you choose what works.
We measure the area, look at the condition of the walls and floor and talk through the tiles you like. The free quote covers removing old tiles, any boarding or levelling, waterproofing and laying the new tiles.
We set out the tiles so cuts sit neatly at edges and corners, and so the pattern lines up with the bath, window and fittings. Once the adhesive has set, we grout, clean the tiles and seal the edges with silicone.
Tell us about the leak, fault or project. We aim to respond the same day, and there's no call-out charge.
We look at the job in person and give you a free, no-obligation quote before any work starts.
We finish the job, test everything we have fitted and certify the work before we hand it back to you.
Sometimes, if the old tiles are firmly stuck, flat and the wall can take the extra weight. In most bathrooms we recommend removing them, because it lets us check the wall behind and gives a better finish. We'll look and tell you which is right for your room.
Adhesive and grout need time to set, and silicone needs to cure before it gets wet. The exact time depends on the products used, so we'll tell you when it's safe to use the shower. Using it too early can weaken the grout and seals.
Cracked grout usually means movement in the wall or floor, a surface that wasn't prepared properly, or water getting behind the tiles. Regrouting hides it for a while, but finding the cause matters. We can check whether the tiles are still sound or need replacing.
Yes. We tile bathroom floors as well as walls. Floors need a solid, flat base, so on timber floors we usually fit a backer board first to stop movement cracking the tiles. We also help you pick a tile with enough grip for a wet room.
We tile bathrooms from our Coventry base across the surrounding area. Choose your village below.
